Casey & Ray

I had the privilege of shooting Casey & Ray's big day this weekend in Dallas. Everything was just perfect..... even the random cold weather hitting the normally much warmer Dallas couldn't stop this day from happening! Casey looked absolutely stunning with the light shining in the door behind her as her Dad walked her down the aisle to her Groom. The look on Ray's face was just priceless as he stared at his beautiful Bride for the first time in her gown. It was a touching ceremony that left most of us in tears.... Just a great day! Congrats Casey & Ray!!!

Oh & one other thing! Casey is my husbands step-sister, so I actually jumped on the otherside of the camera for a quick shot with my husband, son & the new couple! (My son was in LOVE with her! He just stared at her & smiled the whole time.... Stop flirting with your aunt, Noah!)

Heather & JP - Engagement Session

Heather & JP are SUCH a fun couple! Heather was the Maid of Honor in a wedding I shot last year & "notified" me back then that when her time came to get hitched, I'd be packing my bags & heading for Wisconsin to shoot their wedding. Their personalities totally complement each other - they're such a fun loving, carefree couple! I'm honored to be helping them out with their upcoming big day! Michelle & Savaday - Engagement Session

While it's by no means "warm" out just yet, Spring is begining to creep up on us which for me means working again! I love being an on-location, natural light photographer, but that comes with being bored during the winter months. Luckily, it's almost March and things are picking up again! I have to say though that the day of this particular photo session it was NOT warm and was very windy...... Michelle & Savaday were so awesome despite the weather conditions & even if a tornado ripped through mid-photo I don't think they could ever take anything BUT a great photo! What was my resolution again?

So I think I'm right on track with most American's this time of year falling off of the "New Years Resolution" bandwagon. I swore I'd make this the year of the blog for me, and have come up a tad short (okay, so more than a tad). Anywho, I'm ready to attempt again.

I had an odd dream last night. No, REALLY odd. It involved a church & snakes & tranchilias. Yes, not a good combo... I know. Oh, and this Mexican resturant which my husband LOVES and I despise due to some previous unplesant experiences between their food & my intestines. I'm not sure how a gross Mexican food joint, a oversized church, snakes, spiders & a random woman in a bikini all fit together, but somehow in my crazy mind I managed them to.

It's sort of a normal routine in this house for me to have an odd dream, tell Hayden (my husband) and then lots of eye rolling begins to happen. Hayden only has totally "logical" dreams (I'm so sure) but he thinks I've just totally lost it with some of the bizarre dreams that I've had. But.... I can't help it right?! Where do these dreams come from?! I ate nothing weird before bed..... I didn't watch a show on the animal planet...... I didn't come up with this on my own, right?

Basically, I'd love to hear from you if you have some sort of "inside" on dreams & where they come from. I need to convince my husband that I'm not nuts. Help a girl out here!

Product Review

Yesterday I covered one reason I am doing this blog.... for myself. Today is reason #2 - and that is for all of you reading this. Hence today's product review.

Before I am a photographer, I am a mom. A full-time, stay at home mom to be specific. Along with the responsibility of being a mother, also comes that of keeping up with a home, making meals, yada yada... Lets just say that I'm no Susie Homemaker. At all.

I am however a business person & my mind opperates that way outside of the photography world as well. So I was researching a quicker more efficent way to clean. Time is money.

That is when I stumbled across a product that has changed my life. I'm not even kidding. This thing is AMAZING (no, I am not being paid to say this... though if Mr Clean would like to send me some sort of commission check, I would gladly cash it).

Mr Clean Magic Erasers. I take them out of the box thinking "Okay, SERIOUSLY? This is a peice of foam! There's not even soap!" That's apparently where the magic comes in to play.... Like I mentioned previously, I'm not the best housekeeper in the world, so my tub wasn't quite "sparkling" when I first took my Magic Eraser to it.... I was expecting to scrub. I was SO shocked to find that.... literally... like magic the dirt disappeared! No scrubbing, no painful arm stretching across the tub for hours.... just wiped clean in a matter of minutes.

I am so determined to get better at this blogging business! I really am not good! My New Years resolution.... (coming only 23 days late) is to be a better blogger! I need to blog mostly for me. There are so many things that I want to remember and this seems like a much better outlet than one of those little diarys with the lock that can be picked. No lock picking skills required here.


So my favorite subject is my son. Both to talk about & to photograph. If you've known me more than five minutes that you'll know this is true. I'm still waiting for the day that Baby Gap calls & begs me to let him be their next big model :o) Anyways, he turned 10 months this month & it is totally freaking me out.... only TWO months until he's a whole year old! I just can't handle thinking about that.... Would it be wrong to just keep him locked up forever?
